STEPPING STONES

Life is a series of stepping stones.  The Bible says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.  So it stands to reason, we need to hear and receive our orders before we take the first step.  Many just take the first step without hearing the orders and then slip and fall and never complete what they could have had.

Did you notice in a creek bed there will be stones placed there to help you get across to the other side.  As we hear our orders, obedient we stretch out our right foot and then bring our left foot together with the right to balance ourselves.  There on the first stepping stone we balance ourselves before we take the next step.  Our feet seem to be molded and fit comfortable on that first stone. So it is easy to stay there.  There is always space between each stone. God allows us time to steady ourselves.  But the day comes once again we receive orders it is time take the next step.  Shall we obey and go forward or shall we stay on the stone we have become comfortable with.  Your spirit says take the next step.  Your flesh says what if you slip.  Once more we take a step of obedience and you go forward, not always knowing the outcome.  Step by step as God directs, you finally reach the other side.  What joy, healing, and restoration awaits you by obeying.  His orders bring you to the stepping stone of His perfect will and plan for you.  Take that first step today and all the other steps shall follow.

2010 is a new time and season.  Take a giant step to the stones God has before you.  You will not only see others have their needs met, but you too will be blessed to be a blessing to others.
